Overview

The Oz Soundz Group comprises Oz Soundz Retail, Oz Soundz Studios and Oz Soundz Records a group of businesses created to supporting the local performance and creative arts industries.

Oz Soundz Group is a start up family-based business that whilst new in the market has connection to the Music & Audio Industry at the "grass roots local level" for more than 4 decades. 

We want Oz Soundz to be recognised by grass roots and professional musicians alike, initially in Australia, but ultimately to become a globally recognised brand with a primary focus of being a supportive force in the music industry providing high quality music equipment and audio recording services to musicians at reasonable prices. 

Secondly, we want to build a brand synonymous with helping the industry and in particular up and coming indie artists by creating programs to give back to the artist through funding programs, events and recording sessions to get small artists into the industry. To do this we need our Oz Soundz community to support us. 

Our Heritage

Our founder was a student of music at Newcastle Conservatorium, his wife a lover of all music styles and his own children have gone on to study and perform music in their own right. His eldest son being an accomplished keyboardist in the Sydney Music scene having played with a range of artists resulting in their own bands EP being launched in 2024. Our founder’s daughter is an accomplished singer in her own right and our youngest son trombonist and drummer. You could say “Music is the lifeblood of our family”. 

Our experience in the live music and recording industry at this stage is limited but we have the heart, drive and passion to succeed in a competitive industry, learning and engagement with all musicians albeit initially in the Greater Hunter, Central Coast, Sydney and Wollongong areas before expansion into regional NSW and the other states and territories of Australia. 

We are not bound to any one location being an online store and can support “grass roots” musicians and audio professionals anywhere across Australia and the globe. 

Our Community

Our unique selling point for the business is our “grass roots” culture and focus on helping indie and upcoming artists with the right equipment at the right price. We are going to focus on highlighting and spotlighting local artists from across the country through our social and online media thus increasing their own and our own brand in the market. We want to create a community of musicians and audio engineers and build our business and brand by supporting them to build their careers in the creative industry.

Why are we driven to support industry at the grass root level? 

We are driven to provide support at this level as we are a musical family who love our live music and have a desire to support our own children and those in industry who struggle to get a start in the creative industries. Live music at the grass roots level is the starting point for all successful musicians and performers across the globe. It all starts in “Indie”.  

Oz Sounds is a newly established brand that we will be building alongside an artists career, so to this point we will support each other in our endeavours to grow the Australian Indie and Live Music Scene. Our solutions and unique selling point is:  

• There are minimal businesses in this market segment giving back to the indie and live music scene and artists and we choose to create a supportive community through sponsorship programs and events in industry.
• We will be 100% online and provide true customer service to build a customer base that is built of quality, trust, and customer service. We will engage through the use of targeted social media campaigns that will include creative content highlighting our products, local artists, and bands to help them build their listener base as we build our brand. 
• We plan to host music events and provide prize money or equipment, where practical and based on sales revenue expansion in local venues.
